The Centre for Stress Management vision along with our purpose statement, mission statement and value statement (what we call our Ethos) have arisen from Dr Mark's 42 years of experience as a practitioner, educator, trainer, healthcare administrator, and researcher in wellness. We understand that our Ethos combined with a clear set of purposeful behaviours will guide our lifelong learning that in turn will inspire our practice to connect with our clients and community at a deeper level for a more meaningful impact in wellness. Our vision statement is about the what, what our future aspirations are in the wellness community. Our purpose statement is more about the why, why do we exist in the wellness community. Our mission statement focuses deeply on the how, how are we going to merge our vision and purpose to add value to our community and clients.

Our Vision Statement: To become a recognized and valued healthcare organization that enables wellness, enhances well-being, and enriches lives.

Our Purpose Statement: To be a lifelong learning space for our clients and community to broaden their happyspan, to strengthen their healthspan, and to extend their lifespan.

Our Mission Statement: To provide evidence-based, client-centric, easy to learn, quick to activate well-being behaviours so that our clients can become the best version of their authentic self.

Our core values are much more than bullet points on a poster or a website. Our core values very much arise from and are nurtured daily through the culture of our organization and our people. Our core values puts people first, or in other words, our primary goal we seek from our values is to anchor the vision into our daily behaviours, guide our daily mission so we do not "mission drift," and illuminate our purpose for greater mindfulness in our scope of work. Our core values not only guide our internal daily processes in both client services and centre operations, it also nurtures and supports our external relationships with the community at large to include businesses, schools, NGO's and other like-minded organizations.

Our Value Statement: To remain committed to creating a safe and empowering space for our clients where learning about wellness is accessible, affordable, personalized and sustainable for all our clients.

RESPECT: to accept and value the differences and similarities we have with others.

EMPATHY: to offer unconditional positive regard to others and collaborate to empower, not to weaken, our clients to work through life's challenges.

INTEGRITY: to carefully and thoroughly seek out and provide best practices and evidence-based well-being concepts for a safe space for our clients to learn and grow to be the best version of their authentic self.

CURIOSITY: to remain curious about our clients (active listening) and embrace lifelong learning with the art and science of wellness and well-being to meet and exceed our quality of care standards.

COMMUNITY: to integrate and collaborate with the community at large in a shared compassionate, seamless and wellness culture to be a community resource for others to survive and thrive.

CHANGE: to embrace, not fear, the changes our personal and professional lives may bring forth with a positive mindset (thankfulness in the now) and optimistic actions (confident about a better future).
